Micromax 384 is a new accessory for Fluoromax and Fluorolog series spectrofluorometer systems. It measures fluorescence from up to 384 well plates. A bifurcated fiber-optic bundle and fiber-optic adaptor interface the Micromax plate reader to Fluoromax or Fluorolog spectrofluorometers.

Micromax 384 coupled with high performance SPEX spectrofluorometers delivers ultimate sensitivity and accuracy for detection of fluorescence in 384/96 well plates. For Micromax with Fluorolog 322, a double grating monochromator on both excitation and emission, the detection limit in a NUNC 384 or 96 well plate is ~20 pM fluorescein in 0.05N NaOH. Micromax with Fluoromax 3 is capable of detecting ~10 nM fluorescein in 0.05 M NaOH in a 384 well plate and 1 nM Fluorescein in a 96 well plate.
